Dear Spiritual Friends,

I have received many responses to my latest article, "One Americans Opinion" and will be posting them with the permission of the recipients under the politics link on my site this week. I must say it has been exciting to hear from so many of you personally and I am honored to share your views with others.

I must say I enjoy a life of harmony and bliss most of the time due to my spiritual awareness. When I stir the waters, such as I have done with this article, it is simply to share another one of my aspects perception. "Be in the world not of it" is the quote that comes to mind. Even though I dwell within the parallel universe and also helped to create it, I find myself currently surrounded by the insanity and chaos of the present survival world. The fact that I sometimes comment on it has always brought me fallout and judgment from those I seek to enlighten.

If I have offended any by what I have written I apologize, that was not my intention. I have a spiritual responsibility to you my readers and take that seriously. All political opinions I write from now on will be posted to my website but not sent to my mailing lists.

I will share with you what spirit once said to me when I was intent on defending their honor. " We need no one to defend our honor. We are perfectly capable of caring for ourselves."

To some of you I have taken myself off of the pedestal that you had placed me upon. I am as you, a multi-aspected being.

With spirit I am one of them and will continue to do the work of light with them that I have for so many years now; as the spiritual guide that I Am. They continually tell me that I am one of them and they do not judge me.

Please do not take my opinion out of context, realize it was just that -an opinion.

I applaud you for speaking out and saying what is on your mind. I agree with your opinions as they are right on track with mine. I do not feel that anyone has a right to judge or condemn another human as we are all on the path to enlightenment. I myself as you know have struggled with those same issues. My obesity was a cry for help and understanding. When I joined my life with spirit I was able to see the beautiful human that I am. That allowed me to make the changes I needed to make for my health, not my looks. You have been a wonderful support in helping me to finally see the beauty within and know that this body is only the package for my soul. I also know that it is not important what gender I love, only that I am able to love fully and completely. Each of us should be able to make a loving commitment with whoever we choose because we love them, not because society says it is ok. My smoking, I see as my issue and I do not feed into society's ideals of what is right or not. Spirit has assured me that I am fine the way I am and they do not judge me. They only accept and love me and will help me in whatever I choose to do with my life as I am a child of them. Bravo for speaking out. More of us need to do this more often.

You have said so eloquently what I have been trying to put into words these last few days, weeks, months. I am pertaining to your personal article, which I wholeheartedly agree with. I was going to use a different article that you wrote in Jan. in my newsletter (I am really pushing it for printing on Thursday), but would really like to put that in instead. May I do it? It is pretty potent without being political - at least I don't see it as political but more human rights oriented. thanks so much for verbalizing what so many of us are feeling right now.

Dear Athene, I believe what you say is correct, but perhaps you're missing the real point of all of this. As long as the media gets people to focus on gay marriage (or whatever) then they're not focusing on what crooks and screw ups the gov't is made of. They get manipulated into being "for" or "against" some trivial thing, in this case gay marriage, and lulled into forgetting that we're being raped of our rights, robbed from and killed, etc., etc.

I don't believe we can ever straighten things out just by trying to convince everyone to take one side over another. Until people get out of the fog they are in, this kind of thing will continue.

That's my 2 cents.

I for one never take what you say out of context, but only as the very great work that you and the Ascended Masters convey to help humanity and Mother earth and our solar system. Keep up the great work that you do Athener. I'm sure you know, not all people can understand the higher knowledge behind what you say.

I deliberately stay away from groups and boards that wish to throw in messages about politics dealing with personal beliefs/judgments. As Light workers we know that all is choice and it is not our place to judge. Everything that happens, happens for a reason. There are no accidents. There have been many channels that I have read over the year warning us about allowing those that do these things to draw us down out of the 5th and back tothe 3rd dimension. How many times have you seen a clear channel make comments about government or gays. We are a free choice world in this now moment. All that chose to be gay or be in the government for whichever side, did so on purpose for a lesson. I don’t judge them I allow. I don’t condemn them but support them. I will not live in fear but instead love. So if it is your intentions to come down from where you are to feed into the 3d. I will love you and allow without judgment but will just unsubscribe because that is not the energy that we need to be around NOW. You are loved

Thank you for your stimulating article. Here are my rambling thoughts

What you have written applies to my country as well.

Indeed it could apply to any country in the world today.

It seems to come down to a lack in honouring ourselves and a lack in honouring each other.

Some would argue that order needs to be maintained and if everyone did their own thing then this would lead to chaos.

What do they think we have now?

I offer no solution, however I do believe we need to start with ourselves.

So many people give away their personal power to others.

They act as sheep and follow the leader even if that leads to falling off a cliff.

Honouring ourselves and others is empowering and vital to the future of this planet.

We personally may not like a person's choice, however it is their choice and their universal right.

We need to honour a person's right to make our own choices.

Thank you for your brave and wise position about that politic and social issues, I am sure that there is a lot of people saying a huge ¡BRAVO! all over the world, as I do. Somethig honest, USA still is in good shape, even when there is such a crazy tide of fear and hate that all those "leaders" feed...

But, by reading your letter, something came to my mind:

"That what you focus your attention on you will receive. When you focus on the evil that is occurring on around you, it perpetuate! s itself. Whatever you judge and condemn will perpetuate itself. " ... "Then ! you must help the process along, by disengaging from any and all activities which cause you to backslide into feeling fearful. You must focus on what you are becoming, rather than what is coming up behind you. You must take back your power from whatever holds it, be it a force outside of yourself, or the belief systems within your own mind. You must take your attention off of what is happening around you and focus it upon developing your own inner confidence and knowing of your own truth."

They feed hate and fear, and they even manipulate your integrity. How can it ve? Take a little time, maybe your pack of cigarrettes ... and read. You are so right. It is all about money, power and control. Keep people in fear, fabricated or not, and you have ultimate control. This govt. has gone to the ultimate ends in taking away personal freedoms, creating economic hardship, establishing a climate of fear and having us finance it. I, like so many of my generation, who may have marched against the Vietnam war, fought for women's rights, gay rights, etc,. no longer even care to vote in a country where the voting itself has become a farce. When someone who was not voted in, still managed to take over the office, force judges with an agenga into our courts, and our so called elected officials go along with all of it, why vote. We are enmeshed in a web of political corruption that crosses all party lines. Our elected officials are able to vote in permanent health care, retirement packages that include full pay for life, and care not how many of their constituents are without health care, lost their retirement in the corruption that is now rampant. Who is there to vote for? The only way left to us to fight this abomination may be from within. When a poll of the american people shows most agree with the gay marriage ban, the war in Iraq, the ridiculous religious right agenda, then this is indeed become a scary place to live.

Your article is very well written. I honor your sincerity and strength to share your thoughts. Like you mentioned, it is not for me to judge your opinion or your lifestyle.....or anyone else's, or condemn you for being human, (as I am in the same entity at the moment). I believe if I could change one thing in our world today it would be the time people spend in silence seeking to grow spiritually-if we could all increase that energy there would be an automatic decrease in the energy used to "direct" how "others" are living. I believe that you are entitled to your opinion, and in fact believe that what you say goes along with your teachings. The Law of Allowing comes to mind.

The fact is, I agree with most of what you say. Even if I didn't, I wouldn't think less of you because of it!! (I would actually have to reconsider my own belief system since I know you are much further on your spiritual path than I.)

I always wonder about people who become hyper-sensitive to those whose opinions differ from theirs. Disagreement in a free thinking people is natural and healthy. If we all thought like the politicians the world would be in such a sad place!! Promoting fear as a means to control is a weakling's tactic.

Please stay strong for those of us who are not as far down the path as you. We appreciate and need you!

Dear Athene, I believe that your opinions were right on target! We cannot help but be touched by the society in which we live regardless of the light work that we are working on in our own lives. I am among those who has very little time to watch the news and be aware of what is happening in this country. I also have little interest as for me I feel it upsets the balance that I have worked so hard to attempt to create in my life in addition I find it to be distastefull. However, I have found it difficult to ignore the recent occurances in this country as it seems you have.

You have expressed my opinions as well as your own and I think it is the opinion of many other people in this country. I for one thank you for your opinion and I believe that those of us who seek you as a spiritual teacher should find comfort in the fact that you too are just a regular person with an extraordinary gift who is trying to do some good in the lives of others!

If you want to feel the heat of the kitchen just talk about your political views or God when you don't know who your audience is. I guess I've always been a little leery of these two subjects in a mixed crowd. I read your editorial because I am on your mailing list, and I have to say that I agree totally with your political views. I can see where most people on your list expect to get nothing but spiritual messages. I suppose they have the opinion that if they want this kind of thing they can get it elsewhere and why are you the "Lightworker" putting out such a thing.

We are all in the process of changing dimensions and how long this will take I don't know. In the meantime we are still human and we need to keep ourselves not only informed but involved so that we can act appropriately to change our government. I'm not convinced that sticking our heads in the clouds waiting for the shift is the correct thing to do. This issue is a tough one for those consciously on the Ascension path. We have been told not to get involved with the chaos of the world and not to judge anything. But if your house is on fire do you not run for the hose? I am a very intelligent woman and it's hard for me not to have an opinion and express it freely.

I'm glad you decided to continue this on your website so that people have a choice to read it, although it always makes me laugh that people will forget about that little delete button. Even putting this on your website may cause you grief in the future and I'm sure you already know that. I just wanted you to know that I'm out here and I share your opinion but I am struggling with how to proceed at this time. As Lightworkers do we just try to hold the Light energy or do we jump in and get involved in the game?

Hugs Angel I went to your site to see what other people were saying but could not find anything posted as of yet so not sure what text to take the message below. One other item from your note of last night that I want to comment on after thinking about it was rehabilitation/prison. One thing that you do not know about me is I am a Correctional Officer for the State of Texas. I work in a very dark energy place, shining the light, and try to keep things right. In the State Jail that I work in, we have education for those that do not have a GED to get it and it is mandatory. We have Drug and Alcohol abuse programs, Catholic and protestant services and different classes like Walk by faith, Parenting, etc. We even had one of my friends come in and teach a class in Miracles and she is getting ready to do another. We have psychiatrist and psychologist who does daily group sessions and anger management classes and or course dispense lots of psych meds. We do outreach programs where juveniles come in and get a tour and talk to offenders in order not to have them continue with there current endeavors. We have Project Rios (job training and assistance) and we send offenders out daily to work in the community at Food Bank, Habitat for Humanities, and Parks and Recreation.

On any given day there are 33 (more or less) officers there taking care of 2100 offenders. We are under paid and over worked but we are there and those that do not want to return don't. Now, since you think prisons are not serving a useful purpose since we can't rehabilitate those that don't wish to be, tell me what else we could do? If you come down to San Antonio, I will give you a tour at anytime. One thing to remember though is every oneis responsible for their actions. People have to take first responsibility for what they did then set their mind straight and not do it again. You can do all the programs that you wish but unless a person wants to be helped,there is nothing we can do. Just my thoughts. You are loved John

I couldn't agree more. What puzzles me about the religious right is their obsession with other people's sex life. But, seemingly, cheating, lying, and murder for profits (Iraq) is ok. So is capital punishment...but not abortion. It's all about guilt and sin. I reject that. We are each a perfect being, worthy of love, just as we are.

NO apology required for you speaking your truth. I personally find it absurd that any individual who is consciously aware, as well as actively involved in their own unfolding spiritual journey would judge you for your political opinions. The truth of the matter is that you stepped on a few toes.

What's the old saying, "if the shoe fits..."

Please continue to post your political and social commentary on your website, at some point in time the spiritual community will have to be actively involved to affect change and/or become strategically involved in the ever unfolding plan.

I personally enjoyed the insight into who you are.

Hello Athene,

Opinions do not create wars despite popular beliefs. Opinions are merely an expression of our consciousness. It is the process or the manner in which we, as individuals, deal with differences of opinions that is important. I am glad you are human and I am glad you have the courage to put forward your opinion whilst so many others accept the 'systems' as being karma.

I have heard spiritual people talk of karma and not interfering with people's journey's and so on. (I work with kids in care) I don't think I am hear just to sit and watch people suffer, in fact, I believe I am part of their Karma. I am regularly challenged by political systems, education systems, government systems and so on because of my opinion. The difference is, that I am willing to be wrong, not only that, but I am willing to truly try and understand the other individual's/group's perspective. This is when I believe you are truly able to validate your position by understanding difference is okay.

That's my opinion anyway...of course, I could be wrong :)

Right on Ahtene!!!! I can't believe how many freedoms we Americans have lost in this elitest political mentality we have had for far too long. It's time to accept responsibilities for our own actions and take back our freedom.

I just to KC got back from China. Jing Yi and I are doing great. I will go to Baghdad in a couple of weeks to direct the construction on hospitals, schools and government buildings in Iraq. I know I have been selected to do this because of the substantial contribution I will make to the improvement of lives of so many war torn people there.

I'll give you a call soon. I know this is my path.

Thank you for writing the wonderful article "One American's Opinion." I completely agree with you on every point. We are giving away our power on a regular basis, either voluntarily or under the guise of "protection from terrorism," the fear of which we are constantly being bombarded with by the media at the behest of our government. We consider ourselves Christian yet act in a very non Christian and judgmental way

What will it take to get the people of this country to wake up?
